Carly and I went to the track to meet Scott and Debbie and see if race horse ownership was something we’d be interested in. Well, Carly and Debbie immediately hit it off and our normally shy daughter suddenly began talking in public. That’s all it took for me to know this was going to be something truly special.
I was a complete novice at the gaming end of the sport and Scott was very patient and a great teacher, explaining the ins and outs of the business and a few betting tips and advice, as well. Having the opportunity to visit the barn is such a treat and we take advantage of it whenever possible. We even went on the visit to Oakhurst Farm for an amazing day of food, wine and horses.

Not long ago on a business trip to the Bay area, I had the afternoon to myself and snuck over to Bay Meadows to watch some racing. If you had told me a year ago that I’d be doing that, I’d have said you were crazy.
