| Cajun Yankee (Kentucky-bred two-year-old filly) |
We were most fortunate to pick up this royally-bred two-year-old filly by red-hot sire Yankee Gentleman out of a promising young Bertrando mare at a great price. Yankee Gentleman ranked 15th on last year's national second-crop sire rankings. He sired four stakes winners last year, including $708,616 winner Golden Yank. His yearlings averaged over $29,000 at sales last year. On the racetrack, Yankee Gentleman was arguably the fastest of legendary sire of champions Storm Cat's sons, blazing 6 furlongs in 1:07 4/5 at Del Mar, posting a 117 Beyer. Yankee Gentleman is not only by the world's top sire of sires, he's out of a grade I stakes winner mare, so his remarkable early success as a sire comes as no surprise. Our filly is out of southern California allowance winner Cajun Flash, a winner of 3 races from 4 starts with $90,000 in earnings. Her sire, Bertrando, can usually be found near the top of the California sires list. Our filly is now a half-sister to a grade III stakes placed winner of over $98,140 as Snapshot ran second in the $200,000 grade III Jersey Shore Stakes. This three-year-old is still campaigning and certain to add to his bankroll and stakes resume'. Our filly's full-brother, Cajun Gent, is also stakes placed with earnings at $94.020 and is also actively campaigning. The dam is a full sister to $244,327 California stakes winner Lacquaria and a half-sister to stakes $394,212 stakes winner Wild Lightning, also the dam of two stakes winners. The third dam is by chef-de-race sire Buckpasser. This family is loaded with quality black-type winners and producers. The filly grades out as an "A" on nick rating. The filly is a well put-together, big chested, large hind-quartered Kentucky-bred individual with three large white socks. In recent months, she's grown much taller, filled out and looks like a million bucks. Later in the year, she'll be broke and trained by up-and-coming trainer Jennifer Bartholomew in Lexington. Because of our incredibly good fortunate on timing and price, we're able to offer this tremendous pedigree and conformationally correct two-year-old at $300 for a 2-share unit. This filly is growing big and strong at Circle W Ranch outside of San Antonio. The farm is impressed with her athleticism and aggressiveness. She's certainly got the mentality of a race horse. | Immense Fortune (Kentucky-bred three-year-old filly in Oklahoma) |
We were in the right place at the right time to get an incredible deal on this royally-bred three-year-old filly. She's by grade I stakes winner Consolidator, a son of Storm Cat who earned $661,760. He's ranked in the country's top 10 freshman sires and stands in Kentucky for $15,000. His two-year-olds are averaging over $60,000 at sale. The filly is out of Grand Prix, a $68,986 winning daughter of AP Indy (stands for $250,000). The mare has produced three good winners and is a half-sister to two graded stakes horses and the producers of several stakes and graded stakes horses, including grade I winner Belle Genius. The second dam is a winning daughter of Raise a Native who produced 8 winners and is a half-sister to four stakes winners. The mare sold in foal with Immense Fortune growing in her tummy for $42,000 in November 2006, a sign of the quality this pedigree offers. This strong, muscular filly is in the early stages of training with one of Oklahoma's leading trainers Shane Seaton. She's training great and Shane loves the way she moves. We're able to pass on our great savings on this filly via HRC053 in 4% units at $300. For more information or to request a Partnership Agreement on this group, please Contact Us. |

| California Prize (California-bred two-year-old filly) |
We purchased this good looking California-bred two-year-old filly at the 2009 CTBA sale and we got a steal. She's by grade II stakes winner of $636,707 Benchmark, one of California's leading sires. He's sired 14 stakes winners, including millionaires Brother Derek and Idiot Proof. The filly is out of Creole Delights, by Bertrando. While Benchmark is a solid and attractive sire and the Nick rating on the filly is A+, it was the female side of the family and the filly's good looks that really caught our attention. The mare ran just three times in southern California Maiden Special company and was third in her second start. We suspect she suffered a career-ending injury in her third start. She is a full-sister to California stakes winner of $244,327 Lacquaria and a half-sister to $394,212 stakes winner Wild Lightning and $60,939 stakes winner Minnetonka Mist, who is also by Benchmark. Interestingly, the catalog was printed just before her other full-sister, Cajun Flash, had her top two offspring earn stakes placings, including grade III Snapshot. Our filly is from the immediate family of grade I stakes winners Sewickley ($1,017,517), Cash Run ($924,201) and Shared Interest ($667,610). The filly is very well balanced, poised and confident. She's got big feet, which indicates she's got another growth spurt coming, too. She'll be going to the barn of Ed Moger after initial breaking and training at Green Valley Training Center. She's offered in 3% shares at $375. For more information or to request a Partnership Agreement on this group, please Contact Us. |

| Mayakovsky two-year-old colt (Massachusetts-bred colt) |
Our first Massachusetts-bred, this son of lightning fast Mayakovsky out of Azorean Miss is a half-brother to our two-year-old White Thunder. The fastest two-year-old in Saratoga's history, Mayakovsky won the grade III Gotham and was runner-up in the grade I Hopeful. He's a promising young sire with impressive stakes-winner Mother Russia to his credit. The colt is out of a winning Pentelicus mare. He's rated in the top 65 broodmare sires in the country. The dam is a half-sister to $224,982 stakes-placed Affirmed Feeling and stakes-placed Sunday Feeling. The third dam is a grade II stakes winner named Land Girl, but chef-de-race sire Sir Ivor. This is the immediate family of graded stakes horses Demaloot Demashoot, Trouble Mountain, Awesome Adam, Lonetree, Idyll, Coup De Fusil, Millions, Young Senor and Elusive City. | Bella Cavalla (Washington-bred filly) |
Bella Cavalla is a three-year-old Washington-bred filly. She's by one of Washington's leading sires, Cahill Road, a full-brother to Unbridlbed. Cahill Road has sires 25 stakes winners. Bella is out of stakes-winner Deputy Belle, by Silver Deputy. The mare has produced two good winners, including a winner of nearly $100,000. The second dam produced four stakes horses. Bella raced once in her juvenile year, finishing second by a nose. In that Emerald Downs debut at Maiden $20,000, she broke sharply but was taken way off the pace and looked hopelessly beaten before releasing the brakes turning for home in the short sprint. She flew down the stretch like few youngsters do and just missed in the photo. In her recent three-year-old debut, she ran second to boys in a Maiden Special at Portland. She's being pointed towards their Oaks at the end of March. We have a few shares in Bella recently made available and are offering them in a 2% set for $350. | Appealing Resume (Washington-based filly) |
Appealing Resume was a recent private purchase, again being in the right place at the right time to take advantage of a great buying opportunity. She's a three-year-old Kentucky-bred filly who will be racing at Emerald Downs next season. She's by Succesful Appeal, former Champion freshman sire in the country and currently 68th ranked national sire, including nine 2009 stakes winners and 44 lifetime with earnings over $15 million. He stands in Kentucky for a stud fee of $22,500. She's out of Emerald Downs stakes winner of $61,038 Strong Credentials, by Carson City. She's a half-sister to stakes-placed Restless Missile. Certain to be one of the best bred fillies on the track. The second dam is $205,237 stakes winner Northern Hilite, by Vice Regent. This is the immediate family of group III stakes winner French Friend. The filly won her first race in Maiden Special Weight company at Golden Gate in April of 2009. She didn't face winners again until September and ran fourth, tiring after making the lead turning for home. She earned over $15,000 in her two starts. She's been brought up to the northwest now and is turned out for the winter. She'll return to training in February and should be ready to roll opening weekend. This good-sized and impressive looking filly has speed, class, a super pedigree and should be a solid performer for us next season. She's available in 4% units for $300. | Popular Date (Cal-bred four-year-old filly) |
Popular Date is a high-quality California-bred four year old filly. She's by grade III stakes winner Popular out of stakes-winner Noruega, by Dance in Time. As a two-year-old, the filly won her first two races including an impressive Allowance win at Hollywood as the favorite. As a three-year-old, she ran fourth then third against top Allowance company sprinters. After that race, we purchased her privately and brought her up to Emerald Downs for the filly stakes division. After a disappointing finish in the Federal Way Handicap, Pop Date returned sore and suspect some sort of shoulder bone or muscle injury. She's been given several months off now and is returning to training shortly. She'll be training at Golden Gate and as a state-bred with conditions left, we should have lots of options available to us. As she's not routed or tried grass yet, there's untapped potential here. In five races, she has two wins and a third with earnings of $33,360, so she's a proven, quality individual. We have a few two-share units available in this classy filly, who should be ready to run in early 2010. The units are available at $250 for each 2% unit.
